WEEKEND DRINK- STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE

The weekend is here and my all time favorite weekend drink still remains my Strawberry mocktail.
But before we go into the process of its preparation and how good plus soothing this drink was, lets peruse a brief information about the fruit straw berry.


Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K as well as providing a good dose of fibre, folic acid, manganese and potassium. They also contain significant amounts of phytonutrients and flavanoids which makes strawberries bright red. They have been used throughout history in a medicinal context to help with digestive ailments, teeth whitening and skin irritations. Their fiber and fructose content may help regulate blood sugar levels by slowing digestion and the fiber is thought to have a satiating effect. Leaves can be eaten raw, cooked or used to make tea.

Now lets get down to the preparation.
 Ingredients
2 ounce of strawberry (Purchased  from Next Supermarket)
3/4 cup of Greek yogurt
3/4 cup of milk.

Procedure
get your strawberry, wash them and place inside a blender/smoothie maker. Blend till all items are smooth. Get jug, mix your Greek yogurt with your milk of your choice, I love to use skimmed milk because it helps  with this our weight loss journey if you get what I mean. After which, mix all items ( blended strawberry,greek yogurt and skimmed milk) in a jug and refrigerate to serve cold or you can also consume at room temperature.

Some love to blend their strawberries in ice cube or is a thing of choice and decisions.

Simple easy and straight forward and trust me it tasted so good.
